ZUMBA class FAR
surpassed my expectations,
both of the class itself,
and how I would feel about it.
Firstly, the teacher/instructor was
PHENOMENAL.
This tiny little lady, {she has been a dancer all her life, and you can TELL!}
was SO inspiring to watch and work out with!
There were about
20 other girls in my class, and everyone
was so NICE!
I chatted to a few of them.
One had just finished up one class,
and stayed for Zumba, another hour!
That was IMPRESSIVE.
(no, she was not thin & buff, she was "new" like me!).
I found this to be much better for me, than the class I took
last week, which was more stretching..
That will be good later on,
but I didn't even break a sweat then,
today?
DRIPPING.
I did the full hour.
That means I am burning it off, baby!
I took 5 more "before" photos this morning, from all angles,
for my journal, because once I get where
I am going, I am NEVER coming back here.
And I will look at these photos
and go
Oh My God.
LOL.
In a good way. THIS
is an achievement what I have mapped out.
Also, after something like this,
it makes it (for me)
SO much easier to go to the grocery,
and not even be interested in the
sugary, bad for me things!
This is the path I have chosen,
and I am so thankful
I started it now.
NO looking back.
This time,
it's for REAL.
Thank you, Universe,
for giving me the strength.

Believe it or not, yoga will help you lose weight even if you're not breaking a sweat. Of course I haven't done any of the yoga weight-loss stuff personally (I'd die!) but it can be just as helpful if not more so than doing all sorts of sweaty things.
ReplyDeleteThough you just said "stretching" so I'm not entirely sure what you mean.
I've never taken Zumba so I'm not sure, but do they have you stretch first? That seems key so you don't hurt yourself!
Let me know if I can help! I know a lot about this kind of stuff, and nutrition, etc. :)
Thanks so much :) Loved Zumba!
ReplyDeleteI am totally doing what my trainer says, he knows a lot more than I do, so I am giving him 270 days to transform me into what I wish to be :)
ReplyDeleteI do know yoga, Pilates, Tai-Chi and such are wonderful things. I plan to add them TO the cardio, after this initial phase. For the first 90 days Cardio is to be #1. Have you heard anything about "Iodine" supplements for metabolism? Or "White Kidney Bean extract"...some were talking about those two today at the gym...thought maybe you knew if these were good additions or waste of $$? :) THANK YOU! xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteI love Zumba too! They offer a Cardio Funk class at the Y and it is super fun. Like Zumba, only to hip-hop music. Awesome blog! Thanks for sharing my before & after pics. :)
